We secured our tickets for the Sandlapper Ghost Tour and Cruise of Charleston Harbor last night.
We thoroughly enjoyed the
Sandlapper Sunset Cruise last year and have been looking forward to touring with them again.
I think a harbor cruise is one of the essential activities required for getting a good feel for the the city. You can really see nice views of the homes along the Battery and in Mount Pleasant and Sullivan's Island, as well as closer views of the Yorktown and Ravenel Bridge.
I love being along or on the harbor during the evening. It is sometimes much cooler, depending on the time of year, but it's the ultimate in relaxation...the water lapping against the boat, occasional dolphins breaching, and the brilliant reds and orange of the setting sun.
On a side note, I'm really getting psyched to see Charleston and the harbor from the Ravenel bridge. We're planning to walk the pedestrian walkway to the viewing area one morning after breakfast. I will take as many photos as I can while there. I'm sure I'll be adding one or two to the free downloads area.
