We had a late start this morning mostly due to the wet weather.
We made it downtown around 9:45am and parked in the Queen Street parking Deck. I wanted to run into the East Bay Garden Gallery, because I wanted to replace the slate roof tile I had previously purchased. I gave it to my brother. I couldn't make up my mind, so we headed down towards the Memminger Auditorium at the College of Charleston for the Chamber Music performance.

I'll be the first to admit that I am not very worldly with music performances are. I occasionally listen to Mozart, Brahms, and a few BBC performances. I have seen a couple doctoral cello performances, the University of Georgia Performing Arts series, and The Four Seasons performed in Venice. I can still appreciate the hard work and passion that can easily be seen in their movement and expression.
Each of the pieces that were performed in the Chamber music series were very different. The first group included 2 violins, 1 cello, and a clarinet who performed a Crusell piece. The second performance included 3 cello's and a piano accompaniment by a different composer. Paul Gross, a tenor, performed a number of poem arrangements to piano. I have never seen a tenor perform live before. It was different, but still intriguing.
We couldn't decide on lunch, so we settled on Diana's Tropical Toast on Meeting Street. The service started out a little slow. I tried the fried grouper sandwich, but it wasn't seasoned very well. The side of fresh fruit wasn't very fresh.

I'll try to post part 2 on Day 3 on Friday morning.
