We finally made it to Melvin's BBQ. It was pretty darned good. Melvin's a small chain of BBQ restaurants that we look forward to eating when we're in town. I usually eat the BBQ sandwich, but decided to try the Little Joe BBQ Chicken sandwich this time. I think I like it better than the pork and the fried okra is still good.

Afterward, we drove to Ashley River road to see the gardens at Magnolia Plantation. The Magnolia grounds comprise the oldest public accessible gardens in continuous operation in the US. There are dozens of meandering paths throughout the grounds. Many flowers were still in bloom, although we have missed full bloom. We walked into the gift shop for the first time and were surprised at how big it was.
